Quality cement, concrete, and asphalt production are crucial to the construction of the roads, bridges and ports that Americans use every single day. In order to stay competitive in the global marketplace we must have infrastructure that can keep up.

I introduced the IMPACT Act to bolster the development of low emissions concrete, asphalt, and cement. This investment will allow our industry to operate at peak efficiency for decades to come. The IMPACT Act will help companies that are investing in the future of manufacturing and development of new concrete technologies.

Along with my colleague Emilia Sykes (OH-13), I introduced the bipartisan NASA Talent Exchange Program Act to spur innovation and foster partnership between the aerospace industry and NASA. This bill will assign NASA employees to temporary industry posts and welcome industry professionals into NASA for short term positions.

This legislation will also establish the Public Private Talent Exchange Program (PPTE) within NASA to create partnership opportunities between government and aerospace businesses. The Program is modeled after a similar initiative that the Department of Defense has operated since 2018. I will continue to work hard to bolster Ohio’s leadership in aerospace innovation.
