I was excited to participate in my first Ways and Means Committee hearing on making the Trump tax cuts permanent. I look forward to working alongside Chairman Jason Smith to deliver for the American people. If the Trump tax cuts (TCJA) expire, small and medium manufacturers won't be able to reinvest in their local communities or expand their workforce.
See a clip from the hearing below.

Tax Cuts for American Families
|
Strengthening our economy starts at home. I am proud to introduce the Permanent Tax Cuts for American Families Act, a bill to provide lasting financial relief to hardworking families across our nation. This bill permanently increase the standard tax deduction for non-itemizing taxpayers as established by the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. In Ohio’s 7th congressional district, more than 93% of taxpayers claim the standard deduction when filing their taxes. This legislation builds on the success of President Trump’s tax reforms by ensuring families keep more of their hard-earned money, empowering them to save, invest, and build brighter futures. At a time when families are facing economic uncertainty, this bill offers stability and predictability. This goes beyond tax policy; this is about supporting the backbone of our country: the American family.
