I'm happy to be back in Ohio after spending most of the week in Washington.

Here’s a quick update.

I voted to pass the funding package that will make our border more secure, keep our military strong, and reign in out-of-control spending. There’s a lot of misinformation about this bill and, frankly, some outright untruths. The bill was not perfect, but the alternative would be a shuttered government with a more open border, troops not being paid, and a continuation of the Biden-Pelosi-Schumer reckless spending.
I celebrated National Agriculture Week by giving a speech on the House floor recognizing the valuable contributions of Ohio Agriculture!
My IMPACT Act passed out of committee. This bill helps U.S. cement, concrete, and asphalt production to be stronger and more efficient.

Responsibly Funding the Government

I voted to pass a package of funding bills that gives our troops a pay raise, makes our border more secure, and avoids a government shutdown that would jeopardize our military readiness, hurt our troops, and create risk for our seniors. No bill is ever perfect, but we have to take the right steps to reign in the out-of-control spending and put our federal government back in the role of servant to the people. National Agriculture Week

Agriculture is one of Ohio’s most important industries. I am committed to working toward an updated farm bill that drives rural economic development, strengthens domestic energy resources, and addresses the unique needs of America’s farmers, ranchers, and consumers.

I also released an opinion editorial talking about the importance of an updated and effective farm bill.

The IMPACT Act

I recently introduced the IMPACT Act, a bill that will make U.S. cement, concrete, and asphalt production stronger, and more efficient. I'm proud that it passed through the House Science, Space, and Technology Committee by a vote of 38-0. See my remarks below.
