Washington’s spending has gotten out of control. Our national debt has grown to $34 trillion. Congress needs to be responsible with taxpayer money. Since last January the House of Representatives has made it a priority to rein in government spending.
This week I voted to finally begin this process and to stop the Biden administration’s Education Department from wasting billions of taxpayer dollars. You might know that I voted against the last two continuing resolutions, but this time, I'm confident that we finally have a plan to get our fiscal house in order.
Next week, we'll work on passing appropriations bills that should contain resources for projects important to Northeast Ohio—improvements to critical infrastructure, public safety, workforce development, and more.
It’s time to finish the process and enact policy solutions that work for Ohioans.
