I visited the Polaris Career Center High School in Middleburg Heights where over 1,000 students participate in programs ranging from Automotive Technology to Cosmetology, and even Culinary Arts & Restaurant Management. What I got to experience there was inspiring, watching students learn about career paths they are passionate about. It’s because of centers like this that I’ve decided to introduce legislation to ensure that everyone knows about career and technical education opportunities that lead to stable and successful careers. |

Introducing the Career and Technical Education Advocacy Grant Program Act |

Career and technical education programs empower students to explore exciting career options, discover their passions, and develop real-world skills that are in high demand. Simply put, a 4-year degree is not right for everyone, and our young people should know that they can lead successful careers based on technical expertise. We cannot continue to diminish the role of career and technical education in this country. Increasing awareness of these programs will help build up the next generation of the American workforce. |
