This week, the Senate moved to bring the SAVE America Act to the floor and begin debate. Unfortunately, Senate leadership is putting on a show. Beginning debate is not the same as passing the bill. Senate Democrats still have the votes to block final passage, and Senate leadership knows it. Despite the fact that 85 percent of Americans support voter ID, the SAVE America Act is on track to be buried.

If the Senate will not pass election integrity on its own merits, then we need a vehicle that forces action. The Senate will walk barefoot across glass to pass FISA. Attach the SAVE America Act to FISA, force a vote, and get it done.

On Wednesday, I introduced the Stop Secret Counseling of Students Act, legislation designed to increase transparency in public schools and reinforce the role of parents in their children's upbringing. This legislation draws a hard line against schools pushing gender identity discussions on children without parents knowing—because mothers and fathers, not government institutions, are the ones who should be calling the shots on what their kids are exposed to.
