This week, I continued standing with a coalition of Republican colleagues to shut down the floor after leadership refused to add the Safeguarding American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) America Act, voter ID, and proof of citizenship requirements to the base text of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). Leadership tried to present separate procedural options as a path forward, but none of them actually integrated the SAVE America Act into the must-pass defense bill.

 

Election integrity cannot be handled through half measures or political games. I will continue holding the line until Congress stops hiding behind procedure and passes the voter ID and citizenship safeguards that the American people overwhelmingly support.

On Tuesday, I led the first Congressional hearing since 1977 on MK ULTRA to examine the crimes committed by the CIA against American citizens. Expert witnesses shared deeply disturbing testimony about the scope of these experiments and the decades of secrecy used to conceal critical information from the American people.

 

As Chairwoman of the Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets, I will continue fighting to uncover the full truth about MK ULTRA and ensure the victims and their families are no longer left without answers. The American people deserve a complete record, and full declassification cannot be delayed any longer.

This week, I had the chance to stop by the Florida booth at the Great American State Fair and give Peter Doocy and Fox News a tour of what makes the Sunshine State so special. The booth did an incredible job highlighting Florida’s history and reminding visitors that our state is defined by far more than beaches.

The agricultural map was one of my favorite parts of the booth, showcasing just how much of Florida’s story is rooted in the land and the people who feed our state and country. If you have not had the chance to check it out yet, I highly recommend stopping by before the fair ends on July 10, 2026.

This week, the Supreme Court of the United States issued a highly controversial ruling. Birthright citizenship was never meant to be exploited by a birth tourism industry that poses a serious national security risk to the American people. If we allow this to continue, America will be overtaken by foreign nationals that hate our country and want to see the United States fall.
