Dear {{prefix}} {{lastname}},

Happy Friday!

This week, I remained focused on confronting corruption and reminding those in power whom they are supposed to serve. From introducing bipartisan legislation to ensure chemical companies can no no longer be shielded by federal silence to preventing Members of Congress from using public office as a path to personal profit, I worked to close the loopholes that have protected special interests over the American people, once and for all. That same purpose carried through the rest of the week, as I celebrated the value of family and the faith-filled principles that give meaning to public service and keep this country grounded in what matters most.

House Passes Congressional Stock Trading Ban

On Wednesday, the House successfully passed the Stop Insider Trading Act (H.R.7008) with massive bipartisan support, marking a major step toward finally ending stock trading by Members of Congress, their spouses, and dependent children while in office.

Throughout the entire process, I fought for strict language, stronger penalties, and a provision forcing any Member found guilty of insider trading to give up every dollar in profits. Congress exists to serve the American people, not stock portfolios, and restoring trust in Washington starts by holding accountable Members who use public office for personal profit.

Protecting Americans from Poisonous Pesticides

On Tuesday, I introduced the Americans vs. Poisonous Pesticides Act to close the loophole created by the Supreme Court’s ruling in Monsanto Co. v. Durnell. Under that decision, EPA silence can be used to shield corporate silence, even when Americans allege they were never warned about serious risks.

My bill protects Americans’ ability to have their claims heard and makes clear that federal label approval alone cannot erase accountability. I am proud to co-lead this bipartisan legislation to ensure families harmed by dangerous products receive the path to justice they deserve from a Congress that stands with the American people, not chemical companies trying to escape accountability.

Happy Birthday Andy!

This week, I was blessed to celebrate my wonderful husband and best friend on his birthday. Thank you for being my rock, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the family and life we have built together.

Sincerely,

U.S. Rep. Anna Paulina Luna

Member of Congress
