Dear {{prefix}} {{lastname}},
Happy Friday!
This week, I remained focused on restoring accountability in Washington and standing firm on the promises made to the American people. From receiving recognition for a voting record rooted in limited government principles to securing a major breakthrough for the SAVE America Act, I continued working to ensure Washington answers to the people it serves. I also joined Americans in commemorating the tragedy in Butler, Pennsylvania, and honoring the courage shown on a day our country should never forget. On a lighter note, I was grateful to celebrate my friend Rep. Tim Burchett ahead of August recess and recognize his continued partnership in the fight for transparency.

Defending Limited Government
|
This week, I was honored to accept the Defender of Limited Government Award from the Institute for Legislative Analysis, in recognition of one of the most constitutionally aligned voting records in Congress.
Limited government means holding Washington accountable for its power, which is exactly why I am committed to standing with taxpayers to deliver transparency and continue fighting to ensure our government officials remain accountable to the people they serve.

SAVE America Breakthrough
|
This week, after our coalition refused to compromise on election integrity, Speaker Johnson agreed to attach the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) America Act to every appropriations bill and must-pass bill, including the NDAA, that passes the House and moves to the Senate. With this agreement in place, the Senate will be forced to pass voter ID and proof of citizenship, and if they don’t, the blame will fall squarely on the shoulders of no one other than Senate Majority Leader John Thune.

On Monday, we marked two years since the assassination attempt against President Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania, where God spared his life by a fraction of an inch. On that day, Corey Comperatore was killed while shielding his family, and his courage remains a lasting reminder of the cost of political violence.
As we remember Butler, we honor Corey’s life, pray for his family, and carry forward the resolve to protect the country he loved. America is worth fighting for, and his sacrifice will never be forgotten.

Happy Birthday Rep. Burchett!
|
This week, I was glad to have an early birthday celebration for my friend and colleague, U.S. Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN), ahead of the August recess. His commitment to transparency has made him a trusted partner in Congress, and I am grateful for his friendship and continued leadership.
