Dear {{prefix}} {{lastname}},

Happy Friday!

This week, I held Washington’s feet to the fire. The corrupt establishment can no longer get away with blatantly disregarding the will of the American people. That’s why I and a group of other frontline members have shut down the House floor until Leadership presents a no-nonsense plan to pass the SAVE America Act and secure our elections. I also continued pushing for transparency on UAP disclosure and real protections for whistleblowers willing to come forward. And back home, my office remained committed to cutting through federal red tape and bringing assistance directly to our community.

Capping Student Loan Interest Rates

On Wednesday, I filed a discharge petition to bring H.R. 2003, the Affordable Loans for Students Act, directly to the House floor. The bipartisan bill, originally introduced by Rep. Michael Lawler (NY-17) and co-led by Rep. Jared Moskowitz (FL-23) and me, would lower the interest rate on federal student loans to 2 percent, giving borrowers real relief without forcing taxpayers into a blanket loan cancellation scheme.

Standing Firm for SAVE America

This week, I was proud to stand alongside a coalition of Republican colleagues to shut down the floor and force the Senate to act on the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) America Act. Nothing is more important than securing our elections, and having filed an amendment to add the SAVE America Act to the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), I will also be introducing another amendment requiring photo ID to vote in person and proof of citizenship to register for federal elections.

The Senate has refused to align with President Trump’s agenda and pass election integrity reforms supported by 80 percent of Americans, but I refuse to back down. My pledge remains the same, and I will not rest until we deliver this win and ensure the American people can trust their vote, knowing only American citizens can vote in American elections.

Fighting for Full Disclosure

On Thursday, I was honored to accept an award for my leadership on UAP disclosure alongside a bipartisan group of Members at the Disclosure Foundation’s Senate symposium.

As Chairwoman of the Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets, I addressed my ongoing fight to secure real protections for whistleblowers with information about secret government programs. Americans deserve the truth, and those willing to come forward should be protected from retaliation.

Mobile Office Hours in Belleair Beach

On Wednesday, my staff was happy to host mobile office hours in Belleair Beach as part of our continued effort to provide accessible assistance across our community. Whether it involves VA benefits, Social Security, or issues with federal agencies, we are committed to facilitating the process and cutting through the red tape to provide you with the support you need.

Sincerely,

U.S. Rep. Anna Paulina Luna
