Dear {{prefix}} {{lastname}},

Happy Friday!

This week, I remained focused on delivering real relief for American families and fighting for the priorities that keep our communities strong and safe. From introducing commonsense legislation to lower costs for families and workers to securing critical federal funding for local infrastructure, I worked to ensure Florida's 13th Congressional District continues to receive the investment and attention it deserves. I also focused on honoring the extraordinary men and women of law enforcement during Police Week in Washington and back home. The responsibility to protect what keeps our communities running does not stop, and neither does the work required to deliver on it.

Critical Investments in Treasure Island

On Tuesday, I was honored to present a check to the City of Treasure Island for $1,600,000 in federal funding to support critical improvements to the City’s wastewater collection system. After decades of use, the aging wastewater system has become more vulnerable during heavy rain, making this project a crucial investment in the lasting safety of our community.

I worked to ensure your tax dollars are delivered back into critical infrastructure to  protect public health and improve long-term resilience. This project is a needed investment in our community's future, and I am proud to support improvements that will keep critical services operating when they are needed most.

American Families Gas Tax Relief Act

This week, I introduced the American Families Gas Tax Relief Act, legislation that pauses the federal gas and diesel tax for 120 days to give Americans immediate relief and put more money back in their pockets. Gas and diesel prices impact virtually every part of daily life in America, from getting to work to buying groceries, and this is a simple step that provides immediate and tangible results for families, workers, and small businesses.

Supporting All Who Serve

On Thursday, I was honored to sit down with Bert Eyler, President of the Police Officers' Defense Coalition, to discuss the importance of Police Week as we stand in solidarity with our law enforcement community. While the brave men and women who volunteer their lives in service to others continue to be demonized and politicized by members of Congress and the press, it is more important than ever that we recognize the extraordinary sacrifices they make every single day.

Under President Trump and Republican leadership, we have driven crime to its lowest level in over a century by advancing policies that empower law enforcement instead of undermining them. I remain committed to continuing that work because safer communities begin with ensuring our officers have the support they need.

Honoring Our Officers

This week, my team had the honor of attending the Fallen Officer memorial service in Clearwater to pay tribute to the four officers who gave their lives in service to our community. Behind each uniform is a hero dedicated to protecting others, and their  courage will forever be remembered. We continue to keep their families, loved ones, and fellow officers in our prayers as we honor their legacy and sacrifice.
