Cleaning Up the House

When bad actors go unpunished in Congress, it sends the message that Members are above the law, and I reject that completely. That’s why I filed resolutions to expel Members like Eric Swalwell and Tony Gonzales and was prepared to force a vote if they refused to resign. Thankfully, they both did the right thing and are now gone.

I don’t play party politics, anyone stealing FEMA funds, sexually assaulting women, or harassing staff must be removed, period. Part of cleaning house is also exposing the taxpayer-funded slush fund used to quietly settle misconduct claims, where over $18 million in taxpayer dollars has been used to quietly cover up sexual harassment in Congress since 1997, and demanding real Ethics Committee reform.

Thune Blocks SAVE America Act

The SAVE America Act should already be law, yet it’s being blocked in the Senate. Senate Majority Leader John Thune has the authority to move it forward but continues to stall instead of acting.

He can’t blame Democrats, he’s in charge and there’s no excuse. If we can’t deliver voter ID, then leadership has failed. I’ve been clear: I won’t support FISA without it, we must protect election integrity and ensure only American citizens vote.

The Truth About Bukele

Democrats hosted a roundtable accusing President Nayib Bukele of human rights abuses, but as the Co-Chair of the Congressional El Salvador Caucus, I can tell you that’s not true. I traveled to El Salvador with a bipartisan delegation and saw firsthand a country transformed by strong leadership, restoring safety and order. These efforts by Democrats to distort that progress for political gain undermine the real impact Bukele has made to liberate the Salvadoran people.
