Dear {{prefix}} {{lastname}},

Happy Friday!

This week, I remained focused on ensuring that American leadership prioritizes stability abroad, accountability at home, and results for our communities. From speaking with President Trump on major steps toward peace through strength, to confronting misconduct in Congress and demanding accountability, I continued working to raise the standard of leadership the American people expect and deserve. At home, I was proud to build on our progress in Dunedin and secure the federal support needed to move critical recovery projects forward in Florida's 13th District.

 Peace Through Strength with Iran

This week, I spoke with President Trump and congratulated him on securing a major step toward peace with Iran and the lasting security of our nation. From the beginning, his messaging has been clear and consistent; the priority is protecting American lives. While some of my Democrat colleagues rushed to mischaracterize the situation or sow division, the outcome has made it clear that achieving American interests was always the objective. President Trump delivered where others could not, and I stand with him in continuing that work to ensure our nation is safer and stronger for generations to come.

Misconduct in Congress

The American people deserve a Congress that reflects integrity, not one that tolerates misconduct, abuse of power, or corruption. Reports that over a dozen former staffers are preparing to accuse Eric Swalwell of sexual misconduct, combined with documented misbehavior by Tony Gonzales, expose a culture that protects perpetrators instead of holding them accountable. I am proud to have already introduced two resolutions to censure Gonzales or strip him of his committee assignments, and I will continue fighting to hold every Member to that same standard.

As Representatives, our duty is to serve the American people and expel those who abuse their position and dishonor the institution. When a sitting Member like Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick is tied to the theft of millions in taxpayer dollars and refuses to step down, it is clear something is broken. I refuse to turn a blind eye to this disgraceful behavior and am committed to restoring trust in Congress.

Disaster Relief for Dunedin

When Hurricanes Helene and Milton struck Dunedin in 2024, our community was left reeling as FEMA failed to deliver timely support. Since then, I fought to cut through the red tape and work with the federal government to secure vital disaster relief funding. Last week, I was proud to announce that $828,000 had finally been secured to rebuild the Ferry Dock and to personally present the check to the city. One of the most rewarding parts of this job is delivering real results back home, and I am honored to be part of restoring and reopening such an important landmark of our community.

Sincerely,

U.S. Rep. Anna Paulina Luna

Member of Congress
