Dear {{prefix}} {{lastname}},
Happy Friday!
Peace is not achieved through escalation, but through clarity, strength, and open dialogue. This week, I remained focused one goal, ensuring that American leadership prioritizes stability, diplomacy, and the safety of our citizens above all else. Whether confronting rising tensions abroad or engaging in difficult conversations at home, my message has been consistent. We must pursue peace, not war, and we must be willing to have honest conversations to get there.

A Clear Message on American Troops
|
This week, I joined Wolf Blitzer on CNN to make one thing clear: I will not support sending American troops into Iran, period. While lawmakers such as Senator Graham push for escalation, the administration has signaled a path toward de-escalation, with strikes expected to wind down and a continued focus on protecting American lives.

Historic Dialogue with the Russian Duma
|
On Thursday, I joined a bipartisan group of Members of Congress in meeting with members of the Russian Duma—for the first time in nearly a quarter century—to discuss peace and bilateral relations. As representatives of the world’s two largest nuclear powers, we have a responsibility to maintain open dialogue, because peace is only possible when communication remains open. I remain committed to advancing this dialogue and championing a path toward peace, in alignment with this administration’s efforts, while also promoting greater economic opportunity.

A Real Conversation on Real Time
|
Last week, I joined Bill Maher for a real conversation on the issues driving division in our country, from election integrity to the growing tensions with Iran. In a moment where online outrage is often louder than reason, it was a reminder of why these conversations matter, and at one point, Bill even agreed with me. If you missed it, you can watch the full interview on HBO Max.
