Dear {{prefix}} {{lastname}},

Happy Friday!

This week, I focused on securing our elections, holding traffickers accountable, protecting children online, and strengthening America’s health. The SAVE America Act must move, and the Senate must stop stalling. Secure elections and real accountability are not optional, and I will keep pushing until we get results.

The SAVE America Act Passes the House

This week, the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act (SAVE) America Act passed the House! We are now one step closer to securing election integrity, an issue that 83% of Americans support. Despite the bill’s popularity and straightforward nature, passing it through the Senate remains a monumental challenge.

That is why I sent a letter with 12 of my colleagues to Senate Majority Leader John Thune urging him to invoke the talking filibuster and force this vote. Support is not enough. Senate leadership must use every tool available to get the SAVE America Act to President Trump’s desk.

If we cannot secure our elections, we will lose our nation.

The Epstein Files: Holding Traffickers Accountable

This week, I reviewed the unredacted Epstein investigative files, and I was sickened by the scale of evil and the network that enabled it. One conclusion is clear: everyone who aided in the trafficking of those girls must be held accountable, especially Ghislaine Maxwell.

Maxwell has stonewalled Congress, repeatedly invoking the Fifth Amendment and even signaling she will only speak “fully” if granted clemency. That is not cooperation. That is leverage. She should be moved out of minimum security immediately. No perks. No comfort. No special treatment for traffickers.

Read my letter demanding Maxwell's transfer to a higher security prison here.

KOSMA: Protecting Kids Online

I am proud to partner with Sen. Ted Cruz to introduce the House companion bill for the Kids Off Social Media Act to put real guardrails on Big Tech. It keeps kids under 13 years of age off social media, limits algorithmic targeting of minors, and blocks social media access on taxpayer-funded E-Rate school networks. Parents are sounding the alarm. Congress must put children’s safety first.

Nutrition First: Building a Healthier America

Today, I introduced the Nutrition First Act to strengthen the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and ensure taxpayer dollars are used to promote healthier outcomes for American families. This legislation prohibits the purchase of high-sugar processed foods with SNAP benefits while preserving access to core staple foods. Hundreds of millions of dollars in benefits are spent annually on products strongly linked to obesity and chronic disease. It is time to put nutrition first and establish a consistent national standard that prioritizes health and accountability.

Sincerely,

U.S. Rep. Anna Paulina Luna

Member of Congress
