Dear {{prefix}} {{lastname}},
Happy Friday!
The fight for election integrity is the fight of our lifetime. Securing our elections remains my top legislative priority, and it will stay that way until the SAVE America Act passes the Senate. This week also brings important opportunities for Florida, including the opening of my FY27 appropriations request process.
Let's get into it.

The American People Demand Voter ID
|
83 percent of Americans support voter ID, and voters handed Republicans the House, Senate, and the White House with a mandate to secure our elections.
With Senator Susan Collins joining, Senate Republicans have now hit the 50-vote threshold to advance the bill, and Senator Thune has said the Senate will take it up when they recovene.
It is time to invoke the standing filibuster. Make the Senate stand, debate, and vote. If Republicans do not deliver election integrity while we have the majority, the people will never forget.

Securing Grants for Florida Education
|
I am proud to share that my office helped advance a federal spending package delivering more than $14 million for seven critical projects at the University of South Florida. These investments include funds to strengthen natural hazard forecasting and regional resilience efforts. They will support innovation, protect our communities, and ensure USF continues leading on research that matters to Florida’s future.
Learn more about how the funding is allocated.

Visiting The Salvation Army’s Sallie House
|
Today, I visited The Salvation Army’s Sallie House in St. Petersburg, which provides housing and services for disadvantaged kids who have been removed from their homes due to abuse, neglect, or abandonment.
What inspired me most was seeing our community come together to protect these children and give them stability, support, and hope for the future. This is local charity at its best. Thank you, Sallie House!
