Dear {{prefix}} {{lastname}},
Happy Friday!
This week, as Democrats drag out the government shutdown, my office remains focused on helping families here at home. And in the Capitol, Rep. Nutmeg has returned once again, bringing her unmistakable Christmas spirit to Washington.
Meanwhile, I called on NASA to release new images of 3I/ATLAS, an interstellar object recently captured by the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter. The American people deserve transparency in science and access to these groundbreaking findings.

An Update on the Government Shutdown
|
As the shutdown drags on, families across Florida’s 13th District are feeling the strain. 42 million Americans are struggling because of Washington Democrats’ political games and refusal to govern responsibly. The Senate voted 15 times to reopen the government and deliver relief to working families, but Democrats continue to block every effort for their own partisan gain.
In the meantime, resources are available for those struggling to put food on the table. If you or someone you know needs help finding food assistance, please dial 211 to locate the nearest food pantry or call my district office at (727) 610-3980 for additional support.
There are discussions in Washington about returning soon to end this shutdown. It's about time! Until then, my team and I will remain on the ground, serving our community and ensuring that no family in Pinellas County is left behind.

When Congress returns, I will continue fighting for policies that put the American people first. Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBMs) have long been the bloated middlemen driving up prescription costs. Last Congress, reform efforts were derailed by Big Pharma lobbyists, but I am not backing down. I am calling on Speaker Johnson and Republican leadership to bring PBM reform legislation to the House floor to finally deliver lower drug prices and transparency for American families.
I am also fighting to clean up corruption in Washington. Insider trading remains one of the most blatant examples of self-dealing in Congress. This week, Speaker Johnson confirmed that my legislation to end insider trading will be moving through committee. It is time to restore integrity in Washington.

Rep. Nutmeg Returns to the Capitol 🎄
|
It is that time of year again! Holiday lights, Christmas décor, and yes… Rep. Nutmeg has returned to the U.S. Capitol!
Multiple staffers have reported sightings of the mysterious holiday figure roaming the Rotunda, admiring the decorations, and spreading what some described as “a suspicious amount of Christmas cheer.”
Every year, she reappears right as the season begins. Rep. Nutmeg represents the constituents of the North Pole, advocating fiercely for the Christmas spirit. Keep an eye on your eggnog, because with Rep. Nutmeg around, anything can happen.
You can follow Rep. Nutmeg on instagram and X. Merry Christmas!

This week, I sent a formal letter to Acting NASA Administrator Sean Duffy requesting the release of all available data and imagery related to 3I/ATLAS, an interstellar object recently captured by NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter. The high-resolution images taken October 2–3 could provide groundbreaking insights into how interstellar visitors interact with our solar system.
Transparency in science benefits everyone, and the American people deserve access to this data. I also asked that NASA share supplementary observations from other missions, including Perseverance, Juno, and the Parker Solar Probe.
I have publicly urged Sean Duffy to ensure these images are released so scientists and citizens alike can analyze them firsthand.
