The House is out of session this month, as we are in August recess until September. I'm so glad to be spending time back home in our district, attending events out in the community and continuing to speak up on the issues that are important to you.

The Biden Family Just Got Caught Again...
|
On Wednesday, my Oversight Committee Republican colleagues and I obtained more groundbreaking information on the Biden family's foreign influence peddling schemes. We now know that the Bidens and their business associates received millions of dollars from oligarchs in Russia, Ukraine, and Kazakhstan during the time that Joe Biden served as Vice President.
I believe this is the smoking gun and these people must be brought to justice. I'm focused on following the facts wherever they lead, and it's clear to me that the Bidens have used their positions of power to enrich themselves. Now is the time to hold them accountable. Enough is enough.

Beach Renourishment Projects are
Extremely Important to Pinellas County!

I sent a follow up letter to the Army Corps of Engineers, reiterating the need to renourish our beaches before it's too late. I am eager to hear back from Army Corps leadership on how they will be proceeding with the Sand Key, Treasure Island, and Long Key projects. We have also been notified that the Army Corps is now refusing to help at least 9 other Florida counties with similar beach projects.
Unelected bureaucrats at the Army Corps are sitting on their hands, refusing to do their job, while our beaches are washing away right before our eyes. This week I will be speaking with our beach mayors to discuss the next steps in this fight. Stay tuned for updates as things progress in the coming weeks.

Exciting news: I will be holding my first ever U.S. Service Academy Information Day on Saturday, September 23rd, from 10 A.M. to 12 P.M.! I encourage interested students and their parents to come out to meet our different academy representatives and learn more about the service branches next month.

Last week, I had the privilege of attending a meeting with the Associated Builders and Contractors of Florida’s Gulf Coast, who are recognized as one of the leading organizations representing our business community. It was great to hear about the challenges our home builders face and how federal policy changes can impact housing in Pinellas County.

Honoring National Purple Heart Day!

Last week was National Purple Heart Day, when we honored those who were killed or wounded while serving this great nation. This hits home for me as my husband, Andy, was shot while serving overseas. He recovered and kept deploying.
Thank you to all our veterans, especially those who gave life or limb, so that we can live in the greatest country in the world. Thank you for your service.
